Hành tây lột vỏ, cắt thành khoanh tròn mỏng, chia làm 2 phần. Hành tím bóc vỏ, băm nhuyễn. Hành lá, thì là rửa sạch, cắt nhỏ.
Khoai tây gọt vỏ, rửa sạch, cắt hạt lựu. Cho khoai tây vào nồi cùng nước, 1/3 muỗng cà phê muối, nấu nhỏ lửa cho khoai tây mềm. Cho 1/2 hành tây vào, nấu cùng.
Cá hồi rửa sạch, dùng khăn giấy thấm khô, cho vào chảo cùng 2 muỗng canh dầu ôliu, chiên sơ qua vàng đều 2 mặt.
Cho phi lê cá hồi đã chiên vào nồi súp, nấu cùng nhỏ lửa cho mềm. Hành tím phi thơm cùng 1 muỗng canh dầu ăn. Cho hành tím, hành tây còn lại vào nồi súp, khuấy đều, nấu thêm 3 phút.
Nêm 1/3 muỗng cà phê bột ngọt, 1/4 muỗng cà phê tiêu cho đậm đà. Tắt bếp, trang trí thêm hành lá, thì là lên trên nếu thích. Để nguội và cho bé thưởng thức thôi.
