Sơ chế các nguyên liệu và chuẩn bị hành, tỏi, gừng, ớt thái nhỏ. Cá sau khi rửa sạch, để ráo thì ướp cùng với gừng, rượu nấu ăn trong khoảng 20 phút. Sau đó bắc chảo lên bếp cho dầu ăn vào, khi dầu nóng đều thì cho cá vào chiên.
Cá chiên vàng đều hai mặt thì bạn vớt ra đĩa. Tiếp đến đổ phần dầu thừa này đi, thêm dầu ăn vào chảo, chờ dầu nóng đều cho tỏi, ớt, gừng vào phi đến khi dậy mùi thơm thì cho nước sốt đậu vào cùng chút muối.
Sau đó bạn thêm vào khoảng 1 chén nước rồi cho cá, đậu phụ vào kho. Khi hỗn hợp sôi, hạ nhỏ lửa, thêm chút nước mắm và nấu thêm 15 phút nữa cho gia vị thấm đều rồi tắt bếp, rắc chút hành lá cho thơm.
